Under Bills, the General Funds total is $19,045.53 and it should be $19,117.53. Invited guests: Dave N. Palmer Other guests: Mark Muillkin, Ralph Wolfanger, David Murray, Ken long, Gerri Long, Andy Davis, Gene Moffat Privilege of the floor(limit 5 minutes) Reports of Committees: None Highway: In May highway men and Dave Murray sprayed the hog weeds on North Buck Rd.; he says it took about 3 gallons to do the job. In 2004 he used about 30 gallons to do the job so the highway men are making some progress. They also put about 8/10 of a mile of drainage tile in Shaw Rd. with Bill Strobels help. Highway men did some ditch cleaning on Moore Rd. and clean under guard rails on several roads and took the fuel saturated dirt to the land fill. They also helped Dansville, Sparta and Nunda with some large projects. On Wednesday (6-10-09) the highway men wedged the rest of Red School Rd. with the help of Sparta to the proper width to prepare for chip sealing next Thursday. David went to Highway School and sat in on invasive plants they talked quite a bit about hog weed, personal protective equipment, and road side safety. He says that by 2012 the state wants all signs to be high visibility reflective. He suggests that the town do some each year like the town did with the street signs. Dave also attend a class on what is the law. He purchased a backhoe for $1,500.00 and it has arrived at the town barns. He says that all the backhoe needs is the cylinder rebuilt and a paint job. Dave says it is worth about $9,000.00. The highway men are going to use it for a backup to the loader in case of a breakdown during the winter storm and installing drainage tile. The agreement to spend town funds show what he plans on doing with the chips and road budget money this year. Dave hasnt heard anything on Multi Modal Money he asked for the reconstruction of Reed Rd. He has heard that one town has received their funding. Resolution 31, 2009 AGREEMENT TO SPEND HIGHWAY FUNDS FOR THE TOWN OF WEST SPARTA LIVINGSTON COUNTY A motion by Councilman Powell to Spend Highway Funds for the town of West Sparta Livingston County and Seconded by Councilman Schramm Adopted By: Supervisor Cansdale Aye Councilman Pfaff Aye Councilman Schramm Aye Councilman Powell Aye Councilman Yamanaco Aye Building and Grounds: Dave N. Palmer General Construction to buy material for more roofing work that is needed with labor included in the cost but not to exceed $1,000.00. The cost will be added to the total of the roofing project to be $9,000.00. A motion by Councilman Powell to have Dave N.
