Eastwood Baptist Church

             Eastwood Baptist Church, since its beginning on May 1, 1977,  has been a wonderful fellowship of believers, “where love is visible.”  We continue to be blessed by God with great potential to share the Gospel with our community and the world.

                 I thank the Lord that He is a God of opportunity. Jesus said in  the book of Revelation 3:8: “Behold, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it; for you have a little strength, have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

                 If we claim the promise of Jesus to the Philadelphian Church and walk through every door that the Lord opens, keeping His Word and proclaiming His name, we will continue to make great strides for the kingdom of God.  I encourage you to keep the faith, and endure to the end, that one day we all will hear the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”

What a marvelous Easter Season we have had. The adult choir Easter musical was wonderful. Bro. Lawrence did a great job of directing and all the choir, cast and support personnel gave a performance worthy of our King!

We had a terrific Sunrise Service on Easter morning. Even though there was a possibility of rain, 128 people turned out for a great time of worship. The men of our Brotherhood prepared us a hearty breakfast. We appreciate our Director, Bro. Steve Kirchharr, and the rest of the cooks who came very early to minister to us and our guest!

Our Easter A.M. worship service was a wonderful time of worship and praise. We had over 500 in attendance. We were all especially blessed by our Cherub Choir (preschoolers) as they sang about the fact that “God’s Not Dead, No! He’s Alive!”

As we look toward April, let me encourage each of you to be faithful to attend Sunday School. Our Bible study program is designed for people of all ages. The Apostle Paul tells us to, “Study to show yourself approved unto God, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of God.” (II Timothy 2:15) Sunday School is a great way to do this very important task God has called us to. Every child, youth, and adult will enjoy the fellowship and the challenge that Sunday School presents!
