Bleak House is 5 hours north of New York City and 2 hours south of Montreál, Canada.  Located between the hamlets of Upper Jay and Jay in the High Peaks region of the Adirondack Park, it sits on 1.8 acres and is surrounded by 450 acres of undeveloped forest.  The nearest neighbor is a vacation home 2000’ away.

 

And it’s only 10 miles from Wilmington, NY and the legendary West Branch of the AuSable River:  the “Best Trout Stream in the East”.

Transportation:     Adirondack Trailways seems to stop in Keene Valley.

Amtrak stops in Westport on it’s once day between Penn Station New York City and Montreal (schedule).  There is a shuttle bus to/from Lake Placid.  You might be able to get off in Keene.
