We purchased Blue in 1999, And over the years he has had 3 offspring, all fillies. We just have a hobby farm and have a couple stallions and we don't breed very often and with moving a few years ago we have not breed anyone for several years. We have come to a conclusion that we no longer care to raise horses as apposed to enjoying a select few and our stallions need a home were they can continue to enjoy there life as stallions.
Blue has an outstanding disposition, very gentle and easy to handle, vaccinating, wormings, clipping feet and body trimming. We have had the pleasure to enjoy several of his offspring that carry on these same characteristics. We have never pasture breed Blue so we could control our foaling numbers, he is fast to breed and has never had problem settling mares. When we have had a difficult mare to breed, we would leave her in with Blue till she came open and he settled her. He does not have a thick crest as do most aged stallions or has never been over weight, we have a very controlled feeding program to assure that they maintain overall good health. All our horses are UTD on wormings, vaccinations including WNV.
* Because Blue does not run in the pasture he has a shed to get out of the elements and a large run to accommodate his needs. He truly has the good life and we are looking for that long-term home that will home give him equal care and attention. The money is not the issue, his new home is. *
