Video-Gaming

Welcome to the gaming section, here you will find game reviews, links to game downloads, tips and tricks and other stuff. My favorite genres have always been the action, RPG, adventure and puzzle genre, so my reviews focus primarily on these genres. I promise you, the reader, that my reviews are unbiased, complete, and revised to be both grammatically correct and accurate.

Opening for PSX version of Chrono Trigger included in "Final Fantasy Chronicles"

Game Features

Retrogaming #1 - Star Wars: Dark Forces Watch a playthrough of the first mission of the excellent 1994 FPS (that's First-Person Shooter to the layman) "Star Wars: Dark Forces", where you take on the mantle of the mercenary Kyle Katarn, raiding an Imperial base for the plans to the Death Star. You can pick this up on Steam for $5 or so, and it's well worth it if you're a Star Wars or FPS fan, though it is somewhat short with only 11 or 12 missions, though they do become increasingly complex. This game spawned a series of Dark Forces titles due to its runaway sales record.

Retrogaming #2 - Blackthorne Before Blizzard Entertainment became a worldwide phenomenon due to such classics as "Starcraft" "Diablo II" and of course "World of Warcraft", the worlds current favorite MMO, they created such unique and fun titles as "Rock and Roll Racing", "The Lost Vikings", and their action-heavy take on the Prince of Persia formula "Blackthorne". You play the son of the king of a beleagured kingdom, sent through a portal to end your people's oppression at the hands of the demonic Sarlacc(apparantly Sarlaccs do more than just lurk in pits awaiting unawary Jedi...yes, that was corny, I am aware).

[Programs/Utilities]

DOSBox 0.65 - CGA/EGA/VGA PC emulator - Use this to run the DOS games below (I STRONGLY recommend you have at least a 2.4 Ghz or equivalent processor and 512MB of RAM to enable the emulation of a decent number of CPU cycles thereby allowing the most authentic, and smoothest experience possible)
Joy-to-Key Utility - A freeware utility that allows you to map a keyboard key to any button on your joystick/gamepad - I highly recommend using this alongside DOSBox, as DOSBox's joystick/gamepad support is minimal and won't enable the use of all the buttons on a modern gamepad. Highly recommended.
