Board
- Here is the direct
link to our very own message board on the UNYISSO /
INEGMA online forum for our club's most up-to-date conversations.
Now RAISSE
members don't need to rely on e-mail threads alone.
- The password for the RAISSE
member only area is: rochimps
- The message board site also has some
photos check it out!
Our
Local Drag Strip
- New York International Raceway Park (NYIRP) is our "local"
drag strip. You'll usually find RAISSE
members here on Wednesday and/or Friday nights
for test and tune or trying their best to win a trophy on Saturday!
- NYIRP is also the site of our annual Shoot outs a racing,
bragging, car talk, food, family, and friends event - don't
miss out!
Local
Meet-up Events
- We'll post here when the warmer months arrive where we'll
hang just to meet-up. Several cruise night spots we've hit
in the past Sullivans in Greece, Denny's/Perkins on Empire
Blvd. in Webster, Lincoln Log Restaurant in Fairport on
Wednesday nights, and The box factory next to the canal
in Fairport on Tuesday nights.
- Read up on past events of the RAISSE
club including previous meet-ups and others on our
event archive page
Shootout
'08!
- 2008 date is still to be announced based on track's schedule.
Either July or August. A registration page will be available
here when we nail down the dates.
- What is it? Every year the RAISSE
car club hosts a combination car show, bracket race event,
social gathering, and cookout. The event is open to club and
non-club members and is held at our 'local' drag strip New
York International Raceway Park (NYIRP). For current track
gate fees, directions, etc. visit NYIRP's
web site.
- MORE than just another East Coast Impala Racing Series
(ECIRS) race! Other clubs host ECIRS race events but ours
adds to a great social event with good food, peoples choice
car judging contest, and big dog and little dog races after
the bracket racing, and we even throw in some great door and
raffle prizes! So, for more food than you can eat, a showing
of our beautiful big cars, and god knows what else, come on
out and have some fun with us! If you don't want to race that's
fine come to participate in the car show or just hang out
with family & friends. If you are interested in bracket
racing but don't know how, visit our links
page for beginners tips.
ECIRS
Race Events
- The East Coast Impala SS Racing Series (ECIRS) is a
season long ET bracket race championship
for all 94-96 b-body cars (Impalas, Caprices, wagons both
Buick and Chevy, Fleetwoods, and 9c1 ex-cop cars). It
is points based and costs nothing to enter. Cost is whatever
the host track charges at the gates.
- The season points champion receives "The Advanced
Induction/Ellwein Engines Cup" (a highly coveted
custom made trophy) and the final top ten racers receive
an exclusive Top 10 Award Jacket, a Stroud brand
SFI fire rated jacket with a huge ECIRS logo on the back!
- Races, trophies, and event plaques are paid by a race's
sponsor. Sponsorship of a race is $150 which contributes
to the engraving of event plaques, the series champion's
trophy, and the top 10 stroud jackets. If you or your
company wants to sponsor an event contact
us!
- Visit the ECIRS
page for this year's current track schedule
and feel free to join the Yahoo!
Group.
