I remember falling:
falling
falling
fallingI don't remember the fall
the trip
the stumble.perhaps
I was pushedI travelled for a long time
but i cannot remember where I wasit was always dark
scarylike falling through tree limbs at a 1000 m.p.h.
constantly getting cut torn ripped apart
yet everything always happened so fast - too fast
I had no controlthere was a time when I gladly gave up control
mind expansion was a daily event
part of the ritual
the invited
the wantedthat was a different time
a different location
a different plateaua desired, sought out place
so much was good
too goodI drove too fast - I liked the speed
I never thought to wear a helmetbut I remember falling
falling through trees -
through thorns
through thistles100 feet long and oh so sharp!
they cut
cut very deepI remember the blood
it poured so freely from the cutsI remember the knife -
a simple steak knife
at my throatthe blade was pointed
it was sharpI was scarred
I was not afraid to dieI know every branch
every thornwe have met
an intimate bond was formed
remember -
it was a long trip.
