8th Annual Rob Garcia Co-Ed Invitational

NEW: Entries for 2011 cannot be made by using the Downloaded software – “Free Entry Software” (TRKSTAT) on  www.jtrackcc.com . Instead use a listing of Event, Name, Performance format with regular email or attach a Word or Excel document to the email.  

  1. Entry fee - $100 per school. This covers both boys and girls entries.
  2. Meet will be run with standard IHSA events, including 1 F/S Relay. Top 6 places will receive medals, and 1st place team trophies will be awarded. Meet will be scored 10-8-6-4-2-1.
  3. Spikes must be ¼” or less. Shot and disc rings are concrete. Starting blocks are provided. Bring your own shots, discs, batons, and vaulting poles. Please: no tape on track or runways.
  4. Team camps must be outside the track fence, and not in the track or football bleachers. Access gates are the northwest corner near the start of the 100, and directly across the track, near the start of the 300 hurdles. Any of the small portable bleachers are okay to use. Please stay off the football field. Bullpen will be at the northwest corner of the track, near the starting line for the 100.
  5. Each team may have 2 entries in individual events, and 1 team in relays. Event limitations will follow IHSA rules.
  6. Field events will start at 4:30. running events will begin at 5:00 with the girls 3200 run. The remainder of the running events will begin at 5:30, or after field events are finished, if sooner.
  7. Field events: THROWS: Girls will throw the shot first, with the boys at the discus. 4 throws in each event – all finals, no prelims. POLE VAULT: Girls will vault first, followed by the boys. HIGH JUMP: Boys will jump first, followed by the girls. LJ/TJ: We have two runways, so long jump and triple jump will run at the same time, cafeteria style. Jumpers will need to inform the official which jump they are attempting, and will have 1 hour to complete their 4 jumps in each event. The LJ and TJ will close at 5:30. Tell your athletes to get jumps in sooner, not later, please.
  8. Running events: girls heats will run before boys. All heats will be on time – no prelims. Where heats are needed, last heat will be fast heat. Clerk of the course will combine heats if necessary. 3200, 1600, & 800 will be single heats starting from alleys (girls, then boys)
  9. A concession stand will be open.
  10. Entries for 2011 will be made by using regular email or attaching a Word or Excel document to an email..

You will receive a reply email confirming your entries within 24 hrs. Be sure to print a copy.

  1. AFTER THE DEADLINE: We will take substitutions and scratches after the deadline until Wednesday, the 20nd, 8:00 pm. Email these to Steve Eyler at eyler@casscomm.com  . After that, only

Scratches can be made. Please try to get any late scratches to us by noon on the day of the meet.
