Here are a couple of recent visitors to Wild and Free. This first one is one of the most beautiful birds in the world and is seldom seen in our area. The Snowy Owl spends most of its time in Canada and usually doesn't come this far south. This one was brought to us in a weakened state from lack of food but has since made a full recovery and will be released soon.

Our second owl is a very young Great Horned Owl. If you look closely you can see the beginning of the feathers that will develop into the "Horns" of this "Horned" owl. If you'd like to see what this bird will look like when it's full grown go back to the main page and click on "Photo Galleries" and then click on "Owl release - 1-2-08".

Use your "Back" button to return to the main page.
