Someone shot a pair of Bald Eagles with a shotgun. They were brought to Dr Deb for treatment and she was able to save one of them, the other died. The one that survived is a juvenile, it doesn't have the white head or tail yet. It looks a little bedraggled in this picture but it's really doing well.

I took a picture of one of the x-rays taken by Dr Deb and you can plainly see the pellets that did the damage, they were still in the eagle's body. The red arrows point to the image of each pellet.

Dr Deb says that its wing is healing nicely and it should make a full recovery. Notice that you can faintly see the image of the wing feathers in the x-ray.
