Another nice day with a visible sunrise.

We spent some time on the balcony with coffee watching the wildlife get cranked up for the day.  It's always fun to watch a flock of White Pelicans head north for the day.

These guys seem to be satisfied to spend the morning sitting on the dock and watching the others fly by.

Got a glimpse of the Peregrine Falcon on its way to the perch where it spends most of the day.

Four Ibises heading north for the day.  They'll come by again late in the day headed south to their overnight area.

Off to the beach for our walk.  Here's a sand sculpture that wasn't there yesterday, looks like a Hammerhead Shark with a smaller shark beside it.

There was plenty of room for everyone on the beach today, nice sand also.

We both visited with Debbie and Maggie for a while, just not at the same time.

This foamy stuff was pretty much all up and down the beach.  We were told that the slightly orange color is caused by the plankton that causes the bioluminescence we've seen at night.

Also stopped for a short visit with Odetta and her little Corgi, Morgan.  We sure have met a lot of dogs this year.

Back to the condo for lunch and coffee on the balcony.  This Great White Heron flew in and landed in the flats north of the condo.  It was nicely framed by the palm so I took this shot.

We're getting close to the time when we'll have to head back to the snow and ice of home so we spend as much time as we can at the boardwalk with the critters of the warm climate.  Eventually some of these will show up at our house.  We enjoy the Monarchs no matter where we see them.

Here's a young Ibis doing a fly by.

And the boss of the wetland birds, the Great Blue Heron.

Green Herons are kind of shy and secretive but occasionally we catch one out in the open.

And this Jack Snipe is hardly ever out in the open.  We were lucky and got to see it twice this year.

I like to think that these spoonbills were waving goodbye to us.

As we were leaving we got another look at a Monarch.  This one had a rough trip here from Mexico but he made it.

A nice way to end the day!
