Guess what!  It was foggy today.  On our way to the beach I turned and took this shot of the condo.

There was a group of young adults working in the sand today.  Becky thinks they are part of some kind of rehab program.

Their dog pitched in and loosened some sand for them.

Talked to Debbie and Maggie for a minute.  Maggie decided she'd rather stay and visit with me than walk with Debbie.  No such luck.

After lunch with Debbie we decided to drive through the county park.  This is the new amphitheater that's part of the remodel job going on.  The idea is that they'll have someplace for the spectators to watch Elon Musk's space ships launch when they start in the not too distant future.

We walked close to the shore where we could get a good look at the wave action.

This washed up log looked like a good place to take a little break.

On the way back north we stopped at the visitor center so Becky could pick up one of the island papers.

Before going back to the condo we stopped at the boardwalk to check out the bird action.  Too bad people can't get along as well as this group.

Here's a little better shot of the Snipe that we saw 2 days ago.

This Great White Egret was at a perfect height to create a nice background when it flew by this tree.

This background is not so nice but the bird is still beautiful.

Doing the "where are the fish" dance.

Talked to some folks from Iowa that had this dog, it's name is Dingo.  They named it that because it looks like one of the wild dogs from Australia.

We walked out on the north boardwalk before leaving.  Partway out we saw these two birds sitting on the railing, an Ibis on the right and a Tri-color Heron on the left.

The Ibis took off before we got very close but the heron waited a long time.  When it finally took off it was so close that I couldn't get the whole bird in the frame when I took this shot.

This shot really shows how much like a tunnel that section of the boardwalk is.

As we were leaving the boardwalk area we met Debbie for the 3rd time today so Becky got a shot of the two of us.

I'd really like to finish up with a sunset shot but recently it's been tough to get one.  For just the briefest instant today there was a small hole in the clouds and a spot of light formed on the water of the bay.  The little white dots that look like popcorn or something is the reflection of the sun on the little tiny waves.  It was still foggy enough that we couldn't see the other shore.
