The journal assignment takes place over three different
weeks throughout the course. 

 FIRST WEEK of the journal will be 03/01 through 03/08;

SECOND WEEK of the journal will be 04/05 - 04/12, and

THIRD WEEK will be 05/03 - 05/10. 

During each week, you will write 4 journal entries and
date them.  Each entry should contain the story of your
"days", how your life is going and how you are responding to it. 
Feel free to journal joys as well as stresses -- the idea of a
journal is release and reflection.  Each entry should be
a substantial paragraph of information.  The journal assignment is worth 24 points,  for a total of 12 entries.  Each journal week, there will be a possible 8 points to achieve.  The journal will be the only work due during each journal week.

Note:  There is a sample journal paragraph in the Learning Activities  section under Course Information.

IMPORTANT:  Date EACH entry.  Each entry should be its own separate paragraph, with the date it was submitted.

Relaxation Techniques

Select 3 out of 6 techniques
Read the corresponding chapters in text;
then, use the CD to experience those
techniques.  Get a massage!  Watch a
T'ai chi video, etc.  Attend a yoga class.
These should be one short paragraph in length,
describing your "lab" experience, and your
views on the relaxation potential of this
particular technique.  Will it work for you?
Why or why not?

I am giving you two weeks to explore these
techniques.  Your first report will be due on
03/28, and the second and third will be due
on 04/04.

Read 3 chapters of your choice, and give lab
reports on each of the 3 techniques you choose
to experience.
