Chess Boards
This
chess board was made in the 1980’s for myself, and I
have played…and lost…many chess games on it.
The inside core is made from ¾” chipboard, with a
green felt base covering. The leather is
approx 3/32” thick, and heavily tooled and beveled with some filigree work in
the corners. The edging and fancy straps
are decorative, and give a Spanish look, as do the panels of Mexican appliqué lacing on each
side.
If you would like one of these…send your ‘Check, mate!’
Another chess board. This
time with different antiqued panel colors, and personalized with an initial in
a scroll.
