About our reef aquarium

Our reef aquarium was set up on August 2, 2003. The tank is a 180 gallon reef ready glass aquarium with twin overflows. I thought I would try my own style semi- Berlin method for my system set up. I used a 2" layer of coarse reef sand for the sub straight and a 4" deep layer of reef sand in the sump/refuge area. This way I can always replace the Deep sand bed without breaking down the tank. The sump/fuge is a DIY 30 gallon breeder aquarium.
