About Our Church

Clarks Hill Christian Church (est. 1866) is a church that follows the New Testament pattern and the purposes of the Restoration Movement.

The Restoration Movement began in 1809 with the dream that Christians of all walks and faiths may come together with a common belief in Scripture as the "only rule of faith and practice" for the Christian life. "In essentials, unity. In non-essentials, liberty. In all things, love." 

We gather for worship on the first day of the week, observe the Lord's Supper weekly, and immerse believers upon their confession of faith. We honor the immersion of both Christian Churches and Baptist Churches. We believe in Jesus Christ as the only source and means of salvation from sin and to eternity in Heaven.
