8-2-00 "No Phone Call!"

Well, the phone call never came. My spirits were soaring for only a few minutes as I thought there might have been hope that somehow the evil scammer would have found it in his blackened heart to do what was right. In all honesty, I've done over 200 transactions over the internet and never had a problem with one until now. I guess I'm just way too trusting?! I need to look other directions as to where to get some cash for the camera as I don't see this business getting cleaned up in the near future! This whole mess absorbs my total being, it's hard to stay positive!

8-5-00 "Help Is Here!!"

I recieved a priority letter this morning from a friend of my mother's that had heard of my dilema. Inside was a check for $4000.00!!! It is an interest free loan and it couldn't have come at a better time!! It is the nicest thing anyone has done for me in a long time. Heck, my own father wouldn't have done that for me! I'll give you one guess what I'm getting with that money!!! Canon XL-1!!! I also received an email from Krooked Kevin in Kalifornia and he said a refund should be coming soon. Time will tell on that one, I can't get too excited about that just yet. Some bad also comes to balance the good... Mom has breast cancer. We'll know more about it on Thursday as I'm going in with her.

8-7-00 "A Little Trip With Grandma!!"

I drove my Grandma Knitt up north today to see my cousins. She brought along two of her lady friends and all had a great time. I can handle playing driver once in a while, makes a guy feel good doing something nice for others. I also ordered my camera from Camera World (if I get screwed again my brothers better hide the bullets!). I got a 5% discount for being a first time customer! It saved me more than a hundred bucks! Great!! I haven't done ANYTHING with the project lately! It's hard to get motivated. I find myself doubting the story and questioning myself. Not good!

8-8-00 "Dragging It Out!"

Pretty much everybody that knows me now knows about my screwing! Tom's neighbor Doug tried to help me a bit, searching the internet for any trace of the crooks! He gets around a little too well in cyberspace, maybe he's the crook?! Just funnin' ya Doug!! I did received another email from Catalytic saying that my refund is being processed! Ya right, when it's in my hands I'll believe it!!! However I also got an email from Camera World of Oregon with the shipping numbers of my camera and it will be here TOMORROW!!! These guys are AWESOME!!

8-9-00 "Another Day Of Waiting!!!"

The camera didn't show up!! GRRrrrrrRrrRrrrrrr!!! Where are those bullets?!!!

8-10-00 "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly!!"

My camera came today! Wow! Dreamlike bliss!!! I took my mom to talk with the surgeon today! Wow! Chills and fear!! Good and Bad, confusing day. I just hope all goes well for my mommy! Couldn't really concentrate on the camera today. Irony?

8-12-00 "Beware The Viking!!"

The Bristle Renaissance Faire beconned me this weekend and I once again enjoyed the entire day! I'm sorry, but the smiles I get when I walk around in my Viking garb is totally intoxicating! I'll bet I had my picture taken twenty or thirty times! I also tried to sell handfuls of ice cubes to passing children as precious jems. My feet were dead by the end of the day but the event still has me smiling! I bet the film office would have connections to get me permission to film there.

8-14-00 "School Soon!!"

I know this may be a strange concept, but... I'm actually looking forward to school starting soon! The summer has been such a rough one that it will bve nice to be a productive member of society again! I'm hoping to use the camera with the kids this year and see what we can come up with. "The Hunt" still takes priority but there is plenty of room for other ideas and projects. Also, this weekend's festival gave me a nice rebirth of energy for "Stonecutter's Quest". I bet people would love to see that project! I wonder....hmmmmmm!

8-19-00 "Tests Number One and Two!!"

I used the camera this weekend to shoot a wedding and a motorcycle race. They both worked out wonderfully!! I think It'll do just what we need it to do! I'm anxious! Also went up north to see the cousins and sing kareoke at the Thunderbird! My mom went along as she really needed a weekend away. A good time was had by all! Still no refund and it looks like nothing will be showing up soon. Darn it!!! I'm also begining some storyboards and I'm pleased.

8-24-00 "The School Year Starts!"

Well, the summer is now officially gone and I have little or nothing to show for it! Now Craig, quit you're complaining! Actually I'm going to be really busy with school as I've got plenty of great ideas to make things really positive there this year! I will find time to get the projects going! My main goal is still the same! I will get a project finished before the Madison Film Festival! I gave a motivational speech to the student body and I talked about how often we run into walls. I told them all about the fact that I got scammed this summer. I went very well. Mom had her cancer removed today also and it all went well. The doctor is very confident that all the bad tissue was removed. Whew!

8-30-00 "Story Bored!"

I started storyboarding and it's taking a great deal of time. Working on the drawings is helping to visualize and it's also letting me find weak areas and areas where a bit of visual humor could be added. I edited the wedding video and it turned out great but I still need to learn how to capture digital footage via the firewire inputs. Using the old standard video capture just doesn't do the camera justice! I've been actually getting quite a bit done lately, being back into the swing of things helps. School is going well but I'm already thinking it's going to be very demanding! I talked with the local sheriff and he basically told me that it was next to imposible for them to locate the "bad guy". I guess I can hope but I'm not letting it bring me down too much!
