Deacon Joe is a Charter Member of Central Church of Christ

that was Begun on August 8, 1970.

As our most senior deacon and staunch believer in the Faith,

he (along with his wife, Sister Mary Joe) is held

in high esteem in our congregation.

Though he has had to face some medical trials

over the years, he is still

not given to much wine,

not greedy of filthy lucre;

Holding the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

And let these also first be proved;

then let them use the office of a deacon,

being found blameless."

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily,

as to the Lord, and not unto men,

Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward

of the inheritance:

for ye serve the Lord Christ."
