Maggie's Obituary as found in The Commerce News, June 9, 1927

Mrs. Maggie Susan White aged 49 years died several days ago at her home at High Point, N.C., after an illness of six weeks duration. She is survived by her husband, Mr. Lee White and the following children: Henry White of Penn., Alvin P. White and A. L. White, both of Chicago and Mrs. Bettie Shaw of Randalmen, N. C., also by four step children and one grand child. She was married thirty three years ago and joined the Centenary Methodist church at Macon, Ga. Among the out of town attendants at the funeral were Mrs. Ella Hawks and Mrs. John Henshaw. Rev. W. W. Pippen, Jr., conducted the funeral service.

Mrs White Dies in Hospital Here, Funeral Services Will Take Place at Commerce, Ga., Thursday Afternoon
Mrs. Maggie Susan White, wife of Lee White, died at a local hospital yesteday morning shortly after 6 o'clock, following an illness of several weeks. Mrs. White was 48 years old.
Mrs. White was born in Jackson county, Georgia, November 20, 1876. She came to High Point four years ago.
Early in life she joined the Methodist church, and at the time of her death, she was affiliated with the First Methodist Episcopal church, of Macon, Ga.
The deceased is survived by the husband; three sons, Harvey White, of Philadelphia, Pa.; A. L. and A. P. White, of Chicago, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Bettie Hinshaw, of Randleman. Five sisters and two brothers, who live in Georgia, also survive. The body will remain at the Yow Funeral home until tomorrow, when it will be removed to the residence at 107 Briggs avenue. The funeral party will leave with the remains for Commerce, Ga., Wednesday night, where funeral services and burial will take place, Thursday afternoon.
