Flora Sailors Phillips, 96, of 1346 Erastus Church Road died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999. A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Phillips was a daughter of the late Susan Elizabeth White Sailors and Zelotus Sailors and was the widow of Johnny L. Phillips. She was preceded in death by a son, Howard O. Phillips. She was retired from Blue Bell manufacturing and was of the Holiness faith. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Curtis Hammonds and Luke Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in Grey Hill Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Eva Tolbert, Commerce; a son, Grady L. Phillips, Lithonia; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren. The family is at the residence of Eva Tolbert, Erastus Church Road.

Mrs. Flora Sailors Phillips, 96, of Commerce, died Tuesday, September 14, 1999, at BJC Nursing Home, Commerce.
A native of Jackson County, Mrs. Phillips was born May 7, 1903. She was a daughter of the late Zelotus and Susan Elizabeth White Sailors.
Mrs. Phillips was retired from Blue Bell Manufacturing and was of the Holiness denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny L. Phillips, and a son, Howard O. Phillips.
Funeral services were held Thursday, September 16, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Revs. Curtis Hammonds and Luke Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Survivors include one son, Grady L. Phillips, Lithonia; one daughter, Eva Tolbert, Commerce; 11 grandchildren, 18 great- grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Flora married Johnny L. Phillips. (Johnny L. Phillips died before 14 Sep 1999 2.)
