bullet  General Notes:

According to Mom, Judith White, Catherine left her first husband Wesley Beachner when her daughter June was 12 (abt 1928) years old. June came home from school one day to find Catherine packing to leave Wesley. Kathi (Beachner) McDonnell remembers being told that Catherine did this when Wesley was away looking for work. Kathi's mom Marian told Kathi that Catherine didn't even leave any toilet paper for Wesley. Those times were tough and the family doesn't really know what happened between Catherine and Wesley. My mom remembers June, her Mom while in her 60's, telling her that Catherine would go out at night and that was June's way of telling my Mom that Catherine was probably cheating on Wesley. Not too much is known about Wesley but some say that he had a drinking problem.

Kathi McDonnell says that Nan was Catherine's preferred name as she became older. Catherine did not want to be called Grandma because it made her feel old.

I remember Nana always having M&M's at the nursing home when I would go and visit her with my Mom.

Nana died of Cardio ? Arrest. Complications due to chronic ? ? lung ?.
