bullet  General Notes:

Notes from Marie Langer Edmister and her mother:

Leonard owned a saloon on the corner of Joiner St. and Central Ave. It was bought out around 1890 by brother-in-law Fred Heilbronn's cousin Albert. Later, it was where the 1st NYC railroad station was built. Leonard's family at one point lived on Henry St. and then moved to Buchan Park which was off of Joseph AVe. When Leonard sold the saloon he became a collector for the Union Brewing Co.

Notes from a letter from Marie:
"In 1914 grandpa (Leonard) and Ruth's father (Julias Andersen) built a double stucco house on St. Paul Blvd. close to Catalpa Rd, where Ruth was born. Later, about 1945, Ruth and her husband built a home next to the double house on the corner of Catalpa Rd."
