1930 Fed census: boarder at 265 Webster ave, listed as 67 yrs. old, married at age 28, janitor at dental supply ?. He is living with A Emil Bleile and family. Rose is not present. The interesting thing is that A Emil and his wife Louise have children by the name Edward, Virginia L. and Foster G. (just like August's children). To my amazement I was able to find Foster G. Bleile and I have talked with him about his family. He does not remember August living him, as Foster was 4 years old at the time, but from a few years later he fondly remembers August's son Foster Englert. Uncle Foster as Foster Bleile refers to him was one of the people that raised him after his mother Louise died giving birth to her last son Alfred. See Foster Englert for more info. Turns out Louise's maiden name is LaMartin and she is the sister of Rose, Foster Englert's wife. Foster Bleile also remembers having to eat dandelion salads for dinner because of the depression and not enough money for a good meal every night.

Can't find August M Englert in either directory after 1931.....


According to my Mother, Judith White, she does not remember August M Englert (her Great-Grandfather) being around when she was young, so I'm assuming he died in the 1930-1945 time range.

August married Caroline M. Blohm, daughter of Edward Blohm and Louisa Westfall, on 27 Oct 1891 in Rochester, Monroe, New York.¹ (Caroline M. Blohm was born in 1867-1868 in Rochester, Monroe, New York ¹ and died about 1895.)

August next married Rosina? ? in 1897.² (Rosina? ? was born in Dec 1873 in Germany ⁵.)
