The Berenstain Bears Cartoon and Episodes on Home Video
From 1985 to 1987, CBS aired the Saturday morning cartoon version of the Berenstain Bears.  And before that, there were also a number of Berenstain Bears TV specials between 1979 and 1983.  Later, many of the episodes were released on VHS, and some are still available.  One LaserDisc of Berenstain Bears cartoons was released briefly during the early 1990s, before that technology took a backseat to the superior DVD format.  So far there are no Berenstain Bears episodes available on DVD.  Though many of these videos are out of print, you may find copies occasionally offered on eBay.

Mama, Papa, Sister, and Brother point to their “split-level tree” as they sing the opening theme song to the Berenstain Bears cartoon series.  Each half hour show contains two 12-minute episodes.  Most of the episodes were eventually released on home video.  Was YOUR favorite Berenstain Bears story turned into a cartoon?  Check out the titles below to find out!!!

Special school edition videos like “Meet the Berenstains, Jan and Stan” (American School Publishers, 1991) and “Stan, Jan, and Michael Berenstain” (Croma Video, 1979) were also made, as well as filmstrip adaptations of many of the Berenstain Bears storybooks.
