The

Berenstains tackle an all-too common problem Some people say that Stan
and Jan Berenstain -- after writing nearly 300
books over the past 30 years -- are out of ideas. But "The Berenstain Bears and the Big Blooper" show us that
there are still plenty of stories to be told by the lovable family that lives
in a treehouse deep in Bear Country. It seems that strong
language has crept into every aspect of life, and has become very prevalent
in television and movies, many now viewed by young children. The story helps
families to talk about the use of "bad" words, and adds an
important message that parents (and all adults for that matter) should take
to heart: adults shouldn't be using these words either (especially around
kids). Stan and Jan hit home with
this book, and I look forward to more titles, especially in their series of
First Time Books, which continue to help families to deal with the first time
experiences and important lessons of childhood. |
