Carpenter (daughter of Jacob (Esquire) Carpenter and Catherine Quickel) was born on March 28, 1801 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. She died on May 11, 1868 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. She was buried in Bethpage Lutheran Church, Cherryville, NC. John Beam Jr. and Mary M. Carpenter had the following children:
