15. Teter Beam9 was born on February 11, 1795 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. He died in August 1884 in Cleveland County, North Carolina. He was buried in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Cleveland County, NC. Teter Beam married Lettie Dickson. They had six daughters and two sons. Caroline married William Kendrick of Lincoln county. Emiline married C. Crowder and settled in Arkansas. John married a Mrs McEntire of Lincoln county and settled in Arkansas. Esther married William Alexander of Iredell county and lived and died in Cleveland county. Jane married Thomas L. Kendrick and lived and died in Cleveland county. Roxana married Rufus Allen and lived and died in Lincoln County. Margaret married a Mr. Hubbard. David married a Miss Crow. lived and settled on the old county line road, three miles east of Shelby.
had eight children, six daughters and two sons Teter Beam was noted for his humor and wit. He married Lettie
Dickson, a descendant of Revolutionary fame. They settled and lived
on the old county line road, three miles east of Shelby, North
Carolina.

Teter was engaged in farming and merchandising, also in making hats
(customary at that time) of wool, which boys could hardly wear out.

Teter Beam and Letta (Lettie) Dickinson were married on September 20, 1821 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. Letta (Lettie) Dickinson was born on November 11, 1799. She died on February 12, 1849. She was buried in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Cleveland County, NC.9 Teter Beam and Letta (Lettie) Dickinson had the following children:
