The following information might be helpful to you in making banners to use on the street.

If you have a color photo or picture you want to use, a copy company like "PIP Printing" will make you a color overlay for a overhead projector for about $.70 and inlarge/reduce it to the proper size.  The overhead projector gives a brighter sharper image than a slide projector.  It also allows you to work in a smaller space. "Badger" makes a airbrush that works real good and is obtainable at Walmart or K-Mart for about $15.00.  The "Badger" brand is a better airbrush than the one made by "Testors."  Testors makes airbrush propellant  in cans so you don't have to invest in a small compressor.

Vinyl dye works better than paint on tyvek.  It sprays good in a airbrush and brushes well.

The following vinyl dye is recommended:
Dupont Lucite Vinyl Color - Vinyl Dye - High Gloss - Pint cans
This dye has a butyl acetate, methyl ethyl ketone, toluene base and penetrates the Tyvek.
Use in a well ventilated area.
The following colors are recommended: White, Black, Brown, Yellow, Red, Blue, Green.
Thin with lacquer thinner when necessary. Obtainable at auto body repair supply shops.

To "seal" banner:
SEM 13003 Vinyl & Plastic Color Spray - 13 oz
spray can - High Gloss  Clear.  Most auto parts stores carry this item.
This banner will be WATERPROOF!

White Nylon brushes are recommended for use with vinyl dye.  A good brush is a must!

4' high x 6' wide has worked out to be the best size overall.  To maintain 4' height, cut material in strips and wrap around top and bottom edge to form a rod pocket
Use 1" Scotch brand double sided tape to assemble pockets, then make two passes with a sewing machine about 1/2" apart.  Use upholstery thread for strength.

1" dia x 6' long aluminum one piece shower curtain rods make the best top and bottom rods for the banner.  They are light and ridged.  Glue 1" plastic caps on ends of rods to protect people in case the banner gets away from you.

Telescoping Upright Pole:
Aluminum swimming pool cleaning pole, extends to 15'
Aluminum paint roller/window cleaning pole, extends to 12'
Try adapting a bicycle handle bar neck to connect the upright pole to the top banner rod and a small "bunge" cord to fasten the bottom banner rod to upright pole.
