ELCA social statements discussion - A link to learning more...

            Wednesday Evenings in June-- Starting Time: 7:00 p.m.

The ELCA, at its national assembly this coming August, will be voting on some rather involved and difficult issues related to human sexuality.  One item of business to be discussed, and ultimately voted upon, is a social statement developed by the Task Force for the ELCA Studies on Sexuality.  A second item of business will be discussion (and voting) on a Recommendation on Ministry Policies from the Task Force.  (To link to these documents, click here).

 

To help congregational members better understand the related issues, a series of discussion groups will be offered in June (on Wednesday evenings @ 7:00 p.m.) to review the documents mentioned above and their implications.  Please join us!     

 

   

Time Together - A Mid-Week Worship Opportunity

            Wednesday Evenings -- Service Time: 6:15-7:00 p.m.

Though ideally everyone would be in church each Sunday morning, the reality is that sometimes we can't be there due to job requirements, camping, sports tournaments, illness, family visits, vacations, general weariness, and unforeseen circumstances.  If and when Sunday morning worship just won't work into your schedule - or if you're looking for a 2nd occasion to worship during the week - we hope that you'll consider spending some "time together" with us on Wednesday nights!
