Lamb Recipes
from
Sheepy Hollow at Native Oaks Farm

Cabbage Rolls in a Slow Cooker

12 large cabbage leaves
1 pound of lean ground lamb from Sheepy Hollow
½ cup of cooked rice
1 can of tomato paste (6 oz)
¾ cup of water
½ teaspoon of salt
pinch of pepper (to taste)
¼ teaspoon of thyme leaf
¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
¼ teaspoon of cinnamon

Wash cabbage leaves
Boil 4 cups of water
Turn heat off
Soak leaves in water for 5 minutes
Remove, drain, cool
Combine ground meat; rice, salt, pepper, thyme, nutmeg and cinnamon
Put 2 teaspoons of meat mixture on each leaf and roll firmly
Stack in electric slow cooker
Combine tomato paste and water and pour of stuffed cabbage
Cover and cook on low setting for 8 to 10 hours
