Wagonette Break
or Body Break
To
the right is a large Wagonette Break. We used this vehicle to prepare
horses to pull the Brewster Park Drag.
This vehicle is in excellent
condition. It has recently been restored and probably needs a bit
more striping.
It has two sets of upholstery
-- one vinyl and one in beautiful bedford cord. This vehicle has no
lamps but does have lamp brackets.
We can not document it, but we
do believe this vehicle was built by Kimball, an Illinois
carriage manufacturer. A few other experts also think this is who
built it.

The price for this vehicle is $21,000 (U.S.) |

Doctor's Cutter
Several people have asked us
to post a photograph of this unusual and lovely cutter.
Though it is not in usable
condition, it is one of the prize pieces in our collection and we
have decided not to restore it because we do not want to lose its
spectacular color. In the sunlight one sees a fine example of
Brewster green and the red trim is also delightful.
This cutter is in fair
condition. The upholstery is poor and the top is poor. Nevertheless,
it will sustain a great deal of value because of its beauty and the
fact that it is rare.

Brewster Demi-Mail Phaeton
To
the left is a Demi-Mail Phaeton or Stanhope Phaeton manufactured by
Brewster & Company in 1905 for Judge Moore, a prominent carriage
collector (we have a copy of the original order fulfillment sheet). This is a magnificent vehicle and one of the finest in the
collection. The ride it provides is very comfortable and solid. It has won
many a blue ribbon in carriage and driving shows all over North America.
The carriage is solid and ready go; however, a minor restoration would
make it one of America's finest carriages of its kind. The
spectacular Brewster lamps are included in the price of this
carriage.

Speed Cutter by Studebaker
To the right is a Speed-Cutter
by Studebaker. This is one of the finest and rarest pieces in Anne's
collection and it deserves an outstanding home. This lovely piece came out
of the collection of Steven Osborn of
Saint Paul. We bought it from him in 1993 and Steve owned it for a
very long time. The Studebaker logo is stamped on the steel entrance steps
on both sides of this racing vehicle.

Gig (manufactured by French & Company of Boston [circa 1900]).
This vehicle is in excellent condition and ready to go. No

or for showing off a gaited horse.

looseness in the wheel boxing. The manufacturer and the date of
manufacture are unknown.
