Reflector Hoods -- Quick and Dirty

As all my tanks were yard-sale finds and either did not have hoods or did not have fluorescent lighting for planted aquariums, I fashioned reflector hoods very simply from cheap parts from the local hardware store.
(I could not believe what the LFS wanted for commercial hoods!)

Pro's: very cheap! (total cost = $15 - $20)
Con's: metal is rather loud and usually "scratches" (like finger nails on a chalk board!) when I lift it up to get into tank.
