Marketing & Public Relations:
The committee works to raise local awareness of Habitat through various marketing initiatives and hosting a variety of events throughout the year.

Development Committee: 
Works closely with Public Relations committee in a variety of fund raising initiatives to advance the Habitat program.

Church Relations: 
Works with congregations and other religious organizations to raise awareness of the work of Habitat and the opportunities for congregational groups, and individual members, to get involved through a broad range of options - financial support, building projects, committees, and special events.

Site Selection: 
Selects an appropriate building site that meets the requirements of both Habitat and local building codes.

Family Selection: 
The committee works in the area where Habitat is building to encourage applications and ensure an equal opportunity for each family applying for a Habitat home. They also review homeownership applications and select a family for the project.

Family Support: 
Responsible for the education and support of the future homeowners in budgeting, home repair and maintenance, community resources, and the financial, legal, and personal responsibilities of becoming a homeowner.

Construction Committee: 
Coordinates and works to improve the home-building effort.  Plans housing designs, researches alternative materials and handles cost management.

Financial or other contributions:
Sometimes it is not always possible to help out in a physical sense.  There are other ways that you may be able to help.  One way might be to contribute with a tax deductible financial donation.  Another way might be with a donation of materials or even a parcel of land for Habitat to build on.  Whatever choice you make you can be sure that your gift will be providing decent housing for a deserving family.  Through faith, giving, and hard work we can make this mission a reality in Wyoming County, NY.
