I made this fall leaf book mark for my Father's birthday. This leaf pattern came from the February 1975 workbasket, page 57. I used 2 strands variegated DMC embroidery floss #51 for the outside and #92 for the inside area not just the chains. When I was ¾ of the way done with the leaf I decided I didn't have enough of the dark colors so I intentionally "stopped" and "restarted" so that I could slide the variegated colors to the position I wanted.
