Cher's Rose

Three different colors of thread. 3 shuttles, or 2 shuttles and a ball thread.

Rnd 1: Pearl chain starting with P for joining. Using the three threads, tie ends together. Use the middle shuttle always for the core thread. 1 ds on top thread, turn upside down to do 1 ds. Turn to top thread do 1 ds. Make ring of 6 ds, cl R. Then repeat for 4 times. Roll what you have to the center for the middle of the rose and join to first P.

Rnd 2: Repeat Rnd 1 ending with 6 separate rings. Attach to the center of one of the ring of 6 ds, where the first petal forms.

Continue this pattern till you have the fullness of the rose you want. Increasing the size of rings of 6 ds , to 8 ds in ring, then to 10 ds in ring, on the last rolls. Joining where need be and lengthening the number of rings as you go in forming the petals the size you want.
