As with all things, changes had to be made.  In 1941 the car came with a 6 volt electrical system and the insulation on the wiring had seen its day.  So the first step to updating the car was to pull the old electrical system out and replace it with a new 12 volt system.  This was accomplished over the 1998 Easter Weekend with help from my cousin from Alabama.
