In the role of Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni. This work was presented by the Florida State Opera. The production, staged by Lincoln Clark and conducted by Stefan Minde, was new in all respects, from costumes to sets. Thus far, Donna Elvira has been my favorite Mozart role. She is torn between her love for Don Giovanni and her contempt of him for how he has treated her. It is delightful to play a character of such strong passions.
