Other Web Sites of Interest ...The Village of Brockport is a quaint Victorian community that developed as a port on the Erie Canal. The Cobblestone Society Museum is located on route 104 about 15 miles west of the Village of Brockport. The museum itself is an example of the many cobblestone buildings that may be found in the area. The Landmark Society of Western New York is one of the oldest preservation organizations in the country. Its mission is to discover, protect, and revitalize the architectural and related cultural heritage of the Rochester region, and to educate and inform the community about that heritage. This Website includes a wealth of information about historic buildings in Rochester and its surroundings. SUNY College at Brockport is located just a few blocks west of the Morgan-Manning House. The college provides numerous cultural opportunities for the community, including theater, dance, art exhibitions, and sports. |
