Image Processing Tool

You are missing out on a really neat Java applet.

Your browser is not Java enabled,   get with it !

This 'Digital Image Processing Tool' sharpens, smooths, enhances edges, shows edges, extracts and displays the red, green, and blue color planes, de-colorizes, and draws an Intenisity Distribution Graph of the original image.

  This should run smoothly,
but it may be sluggish until
  the other image processing applet
  (above) completes its 10 images.

Future features:

Contrast enhancement, color balancing, zooming, cropping, image rotation,

    everything else.

and roughly in that order.

"O.K. Digital Scientology" software is my benchmark target.

( Name changed for various reasons ).

Ready, aim ...

I realize it may look totally lame, but underneath it is just way cool.

The enhancements are very simple, and I've seen very little done on the net.

Second posting.

Versions:

version date features: original color image and
0.0.1 12/22/97 r,g,b planes, b/w version, intensity distribution graph
0.0.2 12/23/97 kernals: sharpen, smooth, enhance edge, find edge

Expect enhancements to be posted every few days.

I have not tested this applet on systems with 256 or fewer colors,
but I will, and they will be supported, and I will probably detect the width
of your screen and adjust things to optimize for your system.
