Instruments Limited Warranty Policy
Unless noted
otherwise, Gamma Instruments guarantees that our calibrated instruments
meet or exceed the manufacturer’s original specifications. Through
testing, we spend a considerable amount of effort to ensure our test
equipment is reliable and dependable. We do not resale any equipment
that has a reputation for poor reliability. Precautions are taken to
prevent any known common failures with certain models. Our limited
warranty covers equipment electronic and mechanical failures that occur
with normal use of the instrument. These failures may include
semiconductor, component, alignment, power supply failure,
microcomputer failure, etc. If a failure does occur, the customer must
contact Gamma Instruments and report the failure within the warranty
period.
At the
discretion of Gamma Instruments, if a failure occurs during the
warranty period, we will repair, or replace, or refund money for the
instrument and assume no other liability for product malfunctions.
Repairs generally take 3-5 days but will be limited to a maximum of 30
days or 60 days if a repair part has to be ordered. The customer is
responsible for paid shipping and insurance to Gamma Instruments, and
Gamma Instruments is responsible for paid return shipping and
insurance. Customers outside the USA are responsible for warranty
shipping and insurance to and from their company.
The
warranty does not cover failure due to: excessive voltages or currents
put into instrument connectors, ports or AC / DC power inputs,
excessive RF power into connectors, lightning or high voltage to power
supply or instrument, mishandling of equipment, dropping or
excessive forces to equipment, excessive temperatures exceeding
manufacturer’s environmental specifications, CRT burns, broken CRT or
display glass, broken knobs, cosmetic failures, or any misuse of the
instrument.
Gamma
Instruments Right-of-Refusal Policy
Unless noted
otherwise, Gamma Instruments provides a 5-day Right-of-Refusal on our
test equipment. This entitles the customer to a complete refund if the
sold item is not as advertised. The customer must contact Gamma
Instruments within a 5-day (business days) period that begins on the
day of delivery. The reason for the refusal must be due to an
un-advertised problem that the unit was shipped with and already had
when it was delivered, and not due to customer change of requirements
or misuse of the instrument such as: excessive
voltages or currents put into instrument connectors, ports or AC / DC
power inputs, excessive RF power into connectors, lightning or high
voltage to power supply or instrument, mishandling of equipment,
dropping or excessive forces to equipment, excessive temperatures
exceeding manufacturer’s environmental specifications, CRT burns,
broken CRT or display glass, broken knobs, or cosmetic failures.
The customer is responsible for paid return shipping and insurance for
the refused item to Gamma Instruments. Upon evaluation of the returned
item, which may take up to 10 days, Gamma Instruments will inform the
customer of the root cause of the problem and, if the problem was not
due to customer requirement change or misuse, issue a refund check
within 30 days of the return.
