The 3 young coyotes were finally old enough to be out in the wild on their own so it was time to capture them and move them out.  Of course, they didn't want to be captured.

These two must have thought they'd have more luck if they ran together.

Dr. Debbie has been at this a long time and doesn't have too much trouble rounding them up.

Once it's in the net she carries it to the cage.

After loading them into the cages they're carried out of the pen and over to the truck.

Mary is waiting on the bed of the truck and helps slide the cage into place.

All 3 are loaded and ready to go.

Once we reach the release site the cages are set on the ground and the doors are opened.  The young coyotes must have thought the cages were a pretty safe place, they didn't want to come out.

When Mary tipped the cage up high enough one of them decided to come out.

It looked around and then headed directly toward me and my camera.  That's my shadow.

It moved over to the track and went by.  When it had gone about 15 feet it turned and headed into the woods.

Then it was time for the one in the other cage to get out and go.  It came about halfway toward me and then turned and went into the woods.

The third one absolutely refused to come out of the cage so Mary and Alex took the top off and then it took off straight to the woods.

Now that it was out it didn't hang around.

And then it was gone.

And there's another successful rehabilitation and release of some local wildlife that needed a little help.
