Seawolf and new Seawolf-R V2

Thanks for your interest in my 1/144 Seawolf Experimenters Cylinder kit.  The total length is about 17.5 inches, and is 2.75 inches in diameter at its widest section. It is one 3.5-inch section of 2.75 inch OD lexan tube with two o-ring end caps, a 9-inch section of 1.75 inch OD lexan tube with two o-ring end caps, and a 4.5-inch section of 2.75 inch OD lexan tube with two O-ring end caps.  Also included are two 3-inch OD Lexan ring half’s used for cylinder mounting in the hull, and one 3-inch OD x 1.5-inch long lexan tube.

The end caps are now included machined and assembled.

Now included is the drive motor. The motor is a Johnson high torque low amp design.

The motor comes mounted with the a RCABS output seal.  An RCABS (Recirculating compressed air ballast system) ballast system is used for ballast control.

The servo mounting bulkheads are also included and installed now.

I include the 18 components * of the basic Cylinder and a CD ROM with over 140 photos of my R/C design. Also on the CD are a list of the components I used in mine, where I purchased them, and a basic text of how I built mine.  This is not a step-by-step how to kit1! I give you the basic Cylinder, and a proven design to work with. How you choose to complete the unit is up to you.

It is not hard for anyone to follow what I did, but I do take into account you already know basic R/C building techniques. This is one reason why I call it an experimenter’s kit.

I have to say the sub runs very well and I am quite happy with it. I am asking $210 plus shipping for the V2 experimenter’s kit. . I try to keep them in stock but as I build them on a first come first served basis e-mail me with your order and I will contact you as I get your kit done. I will take no money till I am ready to ship.

The kit is also available for those that wish to make a surface runner sub. This comes minus the ballast system and is  $180.

I have also just added the propulsor impeller in the items that I sell. This is hand made from copper and comes with the Rulon bearing that I used in my kit. The cost is $35.

Seawolf-R V2

I am now selling the Seawolf in a R ballast system version 2 as well. The R version is only available as a deluxe machined kit with the ballast system.

The R cylinder itself is all finished and ready for the ballast system, motor/gearbox, and R/C system to be installed.

The new V2 system comes with a new valve and pump design that comes pre-assembled to the end cap. It only needs wiring to finish the ballast system.

The cost of the Seawolf-R is $290.
