They are uniquely available through Bolines LLC, on our website, or at quilt shows. Some of them are humorous and whimsical, some are designed to optimize the half yards that we sell, and some of them are designed specifically for our five yard kits. All of them are easy and fast.

This pattern is made from a template and is appliqued using fusible web. It comes with enough catnip mouse fabric to make one quilt. The catnip mice are cut out and fused onto the background so the quilt can be made in any color scheme--not just purple.

The pattern was designed exclusively for half yards and is not suitable for fat quarters. It has seven different 12" blocks that can be put together is many different ways. It was also designed to optimize half yards, so there is very little waste. 13 half yards will make a generous twin size including the borders. 17 half yards are needed for a queen size and 22 half yards are required for a king size. 1-2-3 EZ Pattern The pattern was designed exclusively for half yards and is not suitable for fat quarters. It was also designed to be used with flannel which is often narrower in width than standard cotton. The pattern contains all three different versions which are quick and easy and suitable for flannel. The first version is called Big Blocks and is simply large squares. The second version is called Four Plus One and is a large square alternated with a four patch. The Original Five Yard Quilt Pattern The pattern was designed exclusively for one yard cuts of fabric and is not suitable for fat quarters. It was designed to be used with fabric that is at least 42.5 inches wide without the selvages. It requires 5 yards of fabric to make this quilt top which is twin size. The finished size is: 63" x 87". The samples at the left are both made from this pattern. It is a four-patch block and a four-strip rail block with a border and uses five, one-yard cuts of fabric. The Five Yard Tesselation Quilt Pattern The pattern was designed exclusively for one yard cuts of fabric and is not suitable for fat quarters. It was designed to be used with fabric that is at least 42.5 inches wide without the selvages. It requires 5 yards of fabric to make this quilt top which is twin size. The finished size is: 61" x 85". The samples at the left are both made from this pattern. A tesselation is a geometric figure that interlocks to cover a surface. Notice that the pieces that form the cross shapes in this quilt are all exactly the same size. The design of this quilt will get lost with fabrics which are have about the same value. This pattern is appropriate for fabrics which have significant contrast (like the brown quilt) or differ in color (like the pastel quilt). The Five Yard Off-Center The pattern was designed exclusively for one yard cuts of fabric and is not suitable for fat quarters. It was designed to be used with fabric that is at least 43 inches wide without the selvages. It requires 5 yards of fabric to make this quilt top which is twin size. The finished size is: 67" x 91 ". The sample at the left is made from this pattern. Each block has a large square, a small square and two rectangles for its four patches. The point where all the pieces come together in this block is off-center which makes it a non-traditional four-patch. This pattern works well with almost any collection of fabrics.
